In what might be his final match of the season, sophomore Griffin Mann finished as the 8th best overall individual and led the Jay County golf team with a 90 Saturday at the South Adams Invitational, despite playing with a broken pinky finger that will be surgically repaired on Tuesday. The Patriots finished in fourth place as a team, shooting a team score of 414. Devin Harris shot the second lowest score for the team with a 101. Kyle Sanders shot a 108 and Joey Hall shot a 115. Northeastern won the invite with a 337, and the Knights’ Jake Shue was the match medalist with a score of 74. Devin Harris’ playing partner for the match, Southern Wells’ Kevin Haigh, hit a hole-in-one on the 195-yard Par-3 third hole. The Patriots are back in action Monday night in a conference match up with Woodlan and Heitage at Portland Golf Club.
