Jay County Gymnastics won their season opener against Cambridge Lincoln with a team score of 82.55. Halle Hill and Kenzie Ring took first and second place, respectively, on every event, including the All Around competition.
Hill’s vault score of 8.6 finished just ahead of Ring’s 8.45. Kaley Young scored a 7.3 on vault placing 4th.
Ring’s bar score of 7.7 was just one tenth behind Hill’s winning score of 7.8.
8.375 was Hill’s first place score on beam, while Ring finished with a score of 7.0, taking second place.
Top scores of the evening for both gymnasts came on floor with Hill earning a score of 9.1 to claim first place. Ring was close behind with a score of 8.9 on the event.
Hill won the All Around competition with a score of 33.875. Ring came in second, scoring 32.05. Cambridge Lincoln’s Hannah Holiday took third place with a score of 26.8.
Jay County will compete at The Northwestern Invitational this Saturday with a start time of 11:00 am.
