Despite allowing three runs in the third inning, Jay County Patriots Varsity defeated Norwell 10-3 on Friday. Beldon Glasgow and Ian Clark each drove in runs during the inning.

Jay County Patriots Varsity fired up the offense in the first inning. Michael Schlechty drew a walk, scoring one run.

Jay County Patriots Varsity pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Cole Louison induced Noah Arbuckle to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored and Wyatt Geesaman homered on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

Jay County Patriots Varsity scored four runs in the fourth inning. The offensive firepower by Jay County Patriots Varsity was led by Schlechty and Arbuckle, who all drove in runs.

Geesaman led the Jay County Patriots Varsity to victory on the pitcher’s mound. He went seven innings, allowing three runs on one hit and striking out eight.

Louison took the loss for Norwell. He allowed four hits and three runs over one and one-third innings, walking one.
