Varsity vs Norwell High School (5 - 3) Win Jay County took on Norwell tonight. Jay County came out and was able to get a goal from Brody Collins who was assisted by Jacoby Penrod in the 26th minute making it 1-1. Norwell was able to get a fast break and score making it 1-1. In the 19th minute Emmitt Reynolds found Jacoby Penrod for a goal making it 2-1. At halftime the score was 2-1 Jay County. In the 2nd half, Norwell didn't stay down they were able to score making it 2-2. In the 38th minute, Emmitt Reynolds was able to find Brody Collins for his 2nd goal of the night making it 3-2. Norwell still fought back with another goal making it 3-3. Jay County was able to turn it up when Brody Collins got a deflection ball off the goalkeeper finding the back of the net making it 4-3 with only 5 minutes left in the game. Then with 4 minutes left, Jacoby Penrod found Elias Mueller for a goal making it 5-3. Jay County went on to win the game with a final score of 5-3. Big highlights for the game: Brody Collins came through with his first hat trick of his Jay County career. Peyton Yowell recorded 5 saves on the game. Jay County moves on to 4-1-1 on the season.
