Varsity vs Delta High School (1 - 3) Loss Jay County took on Delta tonight. It was a physical game from the start to the end. Jay County was able to score first off, an assist from Elias Mueller to Emmitt Reynolds making it 1-0 Jay County. Delta was able to tie the game 1-1 on a loose ball around the goal. Around the 9-minute mark Jay committed a foul in the box giving Delta a penalty kick. They were able to execute it and take the lead 2-1. At halftime Delta lead 2-1. In the 2nd half it was evenly matched, Jay was awarded a penalty kick on a handball in their box. Unfortunately, Jay couldn’t score. With only a few minutes left Delta was able to get another ball in off a corner kick making it 3-1. The final score was Delta 3 and Jay County 1. Peyton Yowell had 7 saves in the game. Jay County is now 2-1-1 on the season and they will start conference play this Saturday at home against Woodlan.
