Varsity vs New Castle High School (3 - 2) Win Jay County Varsity Boys Soccer Traveled to New Castle tonight. Jay controlled the tempo early in the game. Jacoby Penrod got it going for Jay County in 22nd minute when he was able to drive the ball in and score making it 1-0 Jay County. With not much time left in the first half New Castel was fouled in the box to set up a Penalty kick and was successful making it 1-1 at the half. In the start of the 2nd half, it only took 30 seconds for Rockland Beiswanger to find Jacoby Penrod scoring his 2nd goal of the game making it 2-1. New Castle was then able to find the back of the net making it 2-2. With 14 minutes left in the game Brody Collins found Rockland Beiswanger with a head ball to make it 3-2 Jay County. Jay was able to hold the lead as time ran out, making the final score 3-2. Peyton Yowell recorded 4 saves on the day. Next up Jay will travel to Delta this Thursday.
