Jc 8th grade football was victorious on Tuesday night against Blackford 50-0. The first half was filled with Patriot action. Camden Corwin fell on a fumble on the first play of the game. The scoring was started by Paul Campofiore with a Touchdown run of 10 yards. Abe Lee caught a pass from Roman Clamme for the 2 point conversion. Abe Lee caught a 30 yard pass from Clamme for a touchdown. Clamme ran in the 2 point conversion. Campofiore returned a punt for a touchdown as well. In the 2nd, Campofiore had another long run for a TD. Kohen Stephen ran in the 2 point conversion. In the 2nd half, Roman Clamme ran the ball from 3 yards out to score. Fletcher Post intercepted a Blackford pass for a touchdown. In the 4th quarter, Bentley Comer ran the ball 25 for a touchdown. Comer also ran in the 2 point conversion. The defense held the Blackford offense to only one first down. There were 3 takeaways. Corwin's fumble recovery, Post's pick 6, and Roman Clamme recovered a fumble caused by Logan Hornbaker. Alex Huntsman, Michael Gabbard, Kendall Glessner, and many other Patriots had tackles in the backfield. Next week the Patriots will travel to Bluffton to take on the Tigers. Go Jc!!
