The Varsity boys soccer team had their first match tonight at Muncie Central. It was a very explosive, physical game from both sides. Jay County's Elias Mueller came out and scored the first goal making it 1-0. Muncie Central was able to capitalize tying the game making it 1-1. Jacoby Penrod was able to find Brody Collins who put the ball in the goal making it 2-1 Jay County at the half. Muncie Central tied the game in the second half making it 2-2. While Muncie Central was driving the ball, a foul was committed inside the box setting up the penalty kick for Muncie Central. They scored making it 3-2 in favor of Muncie Central. With 6 minutes on the clock, Jay County drove the ball, Elias Mueller took the shot, it was deflected, but he was able to make a second attempt and was able to put it in the left corner of the goal out of the reach of the goalkeeper tying the game making it 3-3. The game ended tied in regulation 3-3. Jay County will play Peru Highschool on Saturday at Peru.
