Strong Season Opener for Jay County Cross Country at Warsaw Invitational The Jay County High School boys and girls cross country teams kicked off their 2025 season with impressive performances at the Warsaw Invitational on Friday, August 16. The girls team secured a strong 3rd place overall finish, highlighted by three runners placing in the top twenty: Ava May led the Patriots, finishing 12th with a time of 22:18. Abby Fifer followed in 16th place, clocking in at 22:41. Brooklynn Byrum rounded out the top performers in 19th place, finishing in 23:29. The boys team also turned in a solid performance, placing 6th overall. Leading the way was Caleb Garringer, who earned a 6th place finish with an impressive time of 17:54.
