Jay County Baseball Patriots 7th Grade Beat Selma Middle School Braves By GameChanger Media Jay County Baseball Patriots 7th Grade were victorious against Selma Middle School Braves 5-2 on Tuesday at Selma Middle School. Jay County Baseball Patriots 7th Grade opened the scoring in the first after Eli Homan grounded out, scoring one run. Jay County Baseball Patriots 7th Grade extended their early lead with three runs in the top of the second thanks to RBI singles by Karson Schilling and Roman Clamme. Finn Hemmelgarn earned the win for Jay County Baseball Patriots 7th Grade. The starting pitcher surrendered six hits and one run over three and two-thirds innings, striking out eight and walking one. Bentley Winchester took the loss for Selma Middle School Braves. The starting pitcher went three and one-third innings, giving up four runs (three earned) on seven hits, striking out one and walking none. Homan appeared in relief for Jay County Baseball Patriots 7th Grade. Clamme went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. Brady Millspaugh started the game for Jay County Baseball Patriots 8th Grade and recorded 15 outs. Jay County Baseball Patriots 8th Grade opened the scoring in the first after Brody Collins singled, scoring two runs. Millspaugh earned the win for Jay County Baseball Patriots 8th Grade. The starting pitcher surrendered three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out four and walking three. Crosley Bousman took the loss for Selma Middle School Braves. The lefty went five innings, giving up three runs (two earned) on six hits, striking out two and walking one. Collins and Rayden Sollars were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Jay County Baseball Patriots 8th Grade. Sollars went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Jay County Baseball Patriots 8th Grade in hits. Jay County Baseball Patriots 8th Grade turned one double play in the game. Jay County Baseball Patriots 8th Grade didn't commit a single error in the field. Sam Wiggins had the most chances in the field with four.
