Heritage were the first to get on the board in the first when A James singled, scoring one run. Jay County Patriots flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring five runs on four hits to take the lead, 5-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a home run to center field by Carley Trinidad that drove in three. Jay County Patriots added to their lead with four runs in the bottom of the second inning thanks to home runs by Jaelynn Lykins and Jozey Shimp. Jay County Patriots added one run in the third. Morgan Missicano singled to the left side of the infield, making the score 10-1. Mallory Winner earned the win for Jay County Patriots. The righty surrendered six hits and one run over five innings, striking out six and walking three. D Fuller took the loss for Heritage. The hurler went four innings, giving up 11 runs (10 earned) on 13 hits, striking out six and walking three. Jay County Patriots tallied 13 hits in the game. Winner, Missicano, Zoe Romine, Shimp, and Trinidad each collected two hits for Jay County Patriots. Lykins, Shimp, and Trinidad each drove in three runs for Jay County Patriots.
