Zoe McLaughlin Leads Jay County Patriots Jr High Past Tri Middle School By GameChanger Media Zoe McLaughlin was dominant in the circle, as the right-handed pitcher rang up 12 strikeouts in Jay County Patriots Jr High's 10-1 victory over Tri Middle School on Tuesday. McLaughlin gave up three hits and one run over four innings while walking one. Jay County Patriots Jr High won thanks in part to eight runs in the second inning. Kyla Sims singled, scoring one run, Maddy Taylor singled, scoring two runs, Boo Towell singled, scoring one run, Karsyn Schwieterman tripled, scoring one run, McLaughlin doubled, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs. Lexi Clements started the game for Tri Middle School. The hurler surrendered 10 hits and 10 runs (eight earned) over four innings, striking out seven and walking two. Jay County Patriots Jr High tallied 10 hits in the game. Ava Peterson went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Jay County Patriots Jr High in hits. McLaughlin, Towell, Sims, Taylor, Peterson, Schwieterman, and Sophia Reagan each drove in one run for Jay County Patriots Jr High.
