Brody Collins Drives In 4 To Lead Jay County Baseball Patriots 8th Grade Past McCulloch Giants JHS By GameChanger Media Brody Collins drove in four runs on two hits to lead Jay County Baseball Patriots 8th Grade past McCulloch Giants JHS 14-0 on Thursday. Collins doubled in the second inning, scoring two runs, and tripled in the first inning, scoring one. Jay County Baseball Patriots 8th Grade won thanks in part to eight runs in the second inning. Cooper Wright singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Brady Millspaugh singled, scoring one run, Collins doubled, scoring two runs, Logan Wendel doubled, scoring two runs, and Jon Davis III singled, scoring one run. Jay County Baseball Patriots 8th Grade jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Collins tripled, scoring one run, and Wendel singled, scoring two runs. Jay County Baseball Patriots 8th Grade added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Millspaugh grounded out, McCulloch Giants JHS dropped a third strike, and Rayden Sollars doubled down the left field line, each scoring one run. Sam Wiggins earned the win for Jay County Baseball Patriots 8th Grade. The starting pitcher allowed two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out one and walking one. Keaton Dominguez started on the bump for McCulloch Giants JHS. The starter gave up nine hits and 14 runs (five earned) over four innings, striking out five and walking five. Wendel pitched two innings of no-run ball for Jay County Baseball Patriots 8th Grade in relief. The hurler gave up zero hits, striking out six and walking two. Millspaugh, Collins, and Wendel each collected two hits for Jay County Baseball Patriots 8th Grade. Sollars stole two bases. Jay County Baseball Patriots 8th Grade stole seven bases in the game.
