Jay County Patriots Jr High’s Maddy Taylor Powers Through Union City Jr High By GameChanger Media Maddy Taylor hit two home runs and drove in two as Jay County Patriots Jr High defeated Union City Jr High 17-4 on Thursday. Taylor homered in the fourth and fifth innings. Zoe McLaughlin struck out 12 batters on the day. The righty also surrendered zero hits and zero runs over four innings while walking one. Jay County Patriots Jr High got on the board in the top of the first inning after Karsyn Schwieterman hit an inside the park home run, scoring two runs, Sophia Reagan grounded out, scoring one run, and a dropped third strike scored one run. Jay County Patriots Jr High scored six runs on seven hits in the top of the fourth inning. Taylor hit a solo inside the park home run, Schwieterman tripled, scoring one run, McLaughlin singled, scoring one run, Reagan doubled, scoring two runs, and Aliyha Gilbert tripled, scoring one run.
