Bellmont High School defeated Jay County's Girls Tennis Team on Thursday. Winning for Jay County was #1 Singles Brenna Bailey against Leila Jin (6-4, 6-4;) and #2 Singles Meredith DIrksen defeated Lillian Jin(6-1, 6-4). #3 Singles Lilly Johnson was defeated by Emma Fuelling (1-6, 1-6). Bellmont's #1 Doubles Lilyana Suarez and Ella Ross defeated Sophia Sprunger and Gretchen Link (0-6, 0-6); and Jay County #2 Doubles Courtney Harris and Bailey Towell were also defeated by Alyssa Coffey and Averie Coats (1-6, 1-6). Playing for JV singles, Tessa Frazee lost after a tie breaker 6-7. JV Doubles scores for Jay County were Doubles teams Raylah Newton and Faith Faulkner (2-6), Lydia Johnson and Chloe Muhlenkamp (6-0), Kaitlyn Fisher and Taven Bailey (6-1), Kenzie Tobe and Paycie McCoy (2-6), Madalyn Brewster and Trinity Glassford (0-6), Olivia Gillum and Halle Homan (6-5), and Emme Crouch and Krystal Jubin (3-6).
