Schwieterman doubled in the second inning, scoring two runs, and doubled in the third inning, scoring one. Jay County Patriots got on the board in the bottom of the second inning after Schwieterman doubled, scoring two runs, Carley Trinidad singled, scoring one run, and Morgan Missicano singled, scoring one run. A double by Mallory Winner, a double by Schwieterman, and a single by Missicano helped Jay County Patriots extend their early lead in the third. Jay County Patriots scored eight runs on six hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Loser induced Schwieterman to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Trinidad singled, scoring one run, Ava Bice singled, scoring one run, Brenna Ruble singled, scoring one run, Jaelynn Lykins singled, scoring one run, and Jozey Shimp doubled, scoring three runs. Trinidad earned the win for Jay County Patriots. The righty allowed nine hits and three runs (zero earned) over five innings, striking out three and walking two. Burns took the loss for Delta. The hurler went two innings, surrendering four runs on five hits, striking out one and walking none. Jay County Patriots piled up 15 hits in the game. Missicano and Shimp each collected three hits for Jay County Patriots. Winner and Trinidad each collected multiple hits for Jay County Patriots. Jay County Patriots stole six bases in the game. West, Freiburger, and Burns each collected two hits for Delta. Burns went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in.
