Varsity vs Blackford Jr/Sr High School Win Jay County Patriots Roll Past Blackford By GameChanger Media Jay County Patriots easily dispatched Blackford on Monday, 10-0. A single by Jaelynn Lykins put Jay County Patriots on the board in the bottom of the first. Jay County Patriots added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Ava Bice singled to the right side of the infield, and Carley Trinidad scored after tagging up, each scoring one run. Hallie Schwieterman hit a solo home run to right field in the bottom of the third for the Jay County Patriots. Mallory Winner earned the win for Jay County Patriots. The pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out six and walking three. Serenity Lehman took the loss for Blackford. The starter went four innings, surrendering six runs on seven hits, striking out three and walking three. Jay County Patriots collected 10 hits in the game. Lykins and Bice each collected three hits for Jay County Patriots. Lykins, Brenna Ruble, and Bice each drove in three runs for Jay County Patriots.
