Jay comes up short against a talented Delta squad

Jay County High School Swim and Dive team displayed determination in their recent meet against Delta High School. While the final scores placed Delta ahead—205 to 96 for the women and 161 to 104 for the men—the Jay County athletes delivered impressive individual performances and showcased teamwork throughout the night. Notable highlights included: Cooper Glentzer's first-place finish in the Boys 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 1:57.11. Madelynn Snow led the Girls' 1-meter diving event with a score of 186.40. Strong relay efforts, including a come from behind first place finish by the boys’ 400-yard freestyle relay team of Carson Westgerdes, Peyton Yowell, David Keen and Cooper Glentzer, clocking in at 3:48.04. Matthew Fisher and Kenzie Huey both had second place finishes in the 100 Backstroke. The team will return to training, focusing on refining techniques and building on their progress as they prepare for upcoming their final dual meet before Christmas break on Monday versus ACAC rival, Adams Central.
