Jay County Swim and Dive Team Faces Strong Norwell Competitors in Dual Meet

The Jay County High School Swim and Dive Team showcased their talent and determination during Thursday’s dual meet against Norwell High School. Despite falling short in team scores, the Patriots put forth an impressive effort with several standout individual and relay performances. Highlights: Madelynn Snow claimed victory in the Girls' 1-meter diving competition with a score of 173.80. The Boys' 200-yard Medley Relay team of Matthew Fisher, Carson Westgerdes, Cooper Glentzer, and Peyton Yowell earned a first-place finish with a time of 1:52.08. Cooper Glenzer delivered a remarkable swim in the Boys' 500-yard Freestyle, clocking in at 5:15.48 to secure first place and shined in the Boys' 50-yard Freestyle with a winning time of 24.21. Lauren Fisher took second in the Girls' 100-yard Freestyle with a time of 1:04.95, highlighting her consistency throughout the meet. The Boys' 400-yard Freestyle Relay team of Glentzer, Lincoln Clamme, Westgerdes, and Yowell took first place, clocking in at 3:49.63.
