Jay County Varsity Boys Soccer took on Delta High School in Semi Sectional game on Wednesday night. Delta got the jump on a through ball and was able to score making it 1-0. It only took Jay County 40 seconds later when Levi Muehlenkamp found Dylan Marentes and was able to score making it 1-1 with 16 seconds left in the half. At halftime score was all tied 1-1. In the 2nd half Jay County came out with some fire. Payton Yowell had a deep kick from the goal where it was played off a defender of Delta, but Blake Collins was able to get the ball and take it down for a 1 on 1 with Delta's goalkeeper and was able to score making it 2-1 in the 36th minute. Jay County wasn't done yet and in the 30th minute Dylan Marentes found Levi Muhlenkamp and was able to score making it 3-1. Then in the 20th minute Dylan Marentes was able to dribble through about 5 Delta players to set up a nice shot and was able to score making it 4-1. Jay County would go on to win the game with a score of 4-1 and eliminating Delta from the sectionals. Jay County will play in the championship sectionals game this Saturday at 7PM and will Eastbrook @ Eastbrook.
