The 8th Grade Patriots football team hosted the Eastern Hancock Middle School Royals and won 30 - 18. To start of the scoring, Walter Campofiore had a 25 yard catch and run on a Brady Millspaugh pass for a touchdown. Logan Wendel ran in the 2 point conversion. Andrew Crump scored on a pass from Millspaugh from 20 yards. Right before half, Campofiore caught another pass from Millspaugh for a 20 yard score. Wendel had another 2 point conversion. The Patriots had a half-time lead of 22-12. The Royals scored in the 3rd. In the 4th quarter, Logan Wendel had a touchdown run of 30 yards to add to the lead. Defensively, Brady Millspaugh had an interception. Connor Stultz, Wendel, had tackles for loss. Spencer Smitley had a huge tackle for loss when he tackled the running quarterback in the backfield on a 4th and 1. The Patriots ran out the clock to take the win. Many boys stepped up to contribute to the win. Next up for the 8th grade will be at Woodlan on Tuesday starting at 6:00. Go Jc!!
