The 8th grade Patriot football team traveled to Richmond Thursday night to face the Red Devils and came away with a 38 - 14 win. Starting off the scoring was Walter Campofiore with a 60 yard pick 6. Logan Wendel ran in the 2 point conversion. Next was again Campofiore, on a pass from Brady Millspaugh and scoring on a 40 yard catch and run. He also caught the 2 point conversion from Millspaugh. The boys took a 16-8 lead into half-time. Kenton Cochran scored on a 5 yard run to start off the second half. Jon Davis added a 70 yard kick-off return for a touchdown. Wendel ran in the 2 point conversion. In the 4th quarter, Cochran scored again on a 12 yard run. Defensively, the boys shut them down. Their two touchdowns came on a defesive score and a kick-off return. Richmond had 2 first down in the contest. Rayden Sollars and Campofiore had interceptions, Andrew Crump recovered a fumble, and Campofiore recovered an on-side kick. Connor Stultz had a sack, and Andrew Suman, Spencer Smitley, Campofiore, Wendel, Stultz, and Sollars all had tackles for loss. The Patriots will host Heritage on Tuesday at West Jay. The game starts at 6:00. This will be the final home game of the season. Go Jc!
