Varsity vs Adams Central High School (2 - 3) Loss Varsity lost a tough match last night against Adams Central. They lost set 1 20-25, turned it around and won set 2 25-20. They then lost set 3 19-25. After fighting back from being down 10-20 , they rallied back with a big win in the 4th set 33-31. They just couldn't hold on in the last set losing 10-15. Maria Hemmelgarn and Hallie Schwieterman both contributed 10 kills a piece. Brenna Schmiesing and Mya Kunkler both had 8. Kunkler finished with a total of 7 blocks and Hemmelgarn totaled 6. Paisley Fugiett finished the night with 34 assists. Brenna Bailey led behind the service line with 17 points and 1 ace and also finished with a team high of 30 digs. Fugiett and Lani Muhlenkamp both added 9 points with Muhlenkamp having 3 aces. Elizabeth Barnett had 20 digs and Kayla Jetmore added 15. Junior Varsity vs Adams Central High School (2 - 1) Win JV fought back to win in 3 sets against Adams Central with scores of 22-25; 25-19; 15-12 Emalyn Homan had a team high of 12 points and Carley Trinidad finished with 8. Amelia Heath led offensively with 6 kills and Lydia Johnson was right behind her with 5. Trinidad also contributed 9 digs. Ella Rigby had 7 digs and 7 assists. Homan and Gabi Petro both contributed 6 digs. The Patriots are back in action Monday night at Blackford.
