The Jay County Junior High Cross Country Team kicked off their first home meet in record breaking fashion. Sam Wiggins ran a time of 11:05 to beat the previous school record of 11:15 held by Raif Beiswanger. His first place finish led the boys team to a 21-34 win over Bellmont. Other top finishers for our boys were Ango Kato (2nd - 12:14), Caison Lloyd (3rd - 12:16), Logan Fifer (7th - 13:05), and Carter Lloyd (8th - 13:07). The girls team were unable to outrun their competitors, losing to Bellmont with a score of 34-18. Top finishers for our girls were Gracie Rowles (3rd - 14:57), Abbie Rowles (9th - 16:27), Allie Rowles (10th - 16:55), Alexis Tipton (11th - 17:10), and Emalee Aker (12th - 17:17).
