Varsity vs Woodlan Jr/Sr High School (4 - 3) Win Jay County took on Woodlan High School on Saturday. Woodlan came out moving the ball pretty well. It took Jay County a little while to get things moving. At the 26th minute of the 1st half Emmitt Reynolds found Levi Muhlenkamp and Levi was able to knock in the goal making it 1-0 Jay County. The rest of the 1st half was pretty even ending the half with the score Jay County 1 and Woodlan 0. The 2nd half Jay County started moving the ball a little better and in the 36th minute Dylan Marentes had a free kick, but the goalkeeper was able to knock the ball down only to have Levi Muhlenkamp knock it in giving Jay County a 2-0 lead. Woodlan then came back and scored a goal making it 2-1. Jay County wouldn't stay down and in the 27th minute Dylan Marentes had a cross that came over the center and was able to head the ball to Emmitt Reynolds who was able to put the ball into the net making it 3-1. Woodlan had a drive and was fouled in the box to set up a penalty kick which they were able to score making it 3-2. Jay County was able to come back, and, in the 20th, minute Emmitt Reynolds found Levi Muhlenkamp again and Levi was able to score making it 4-2 Jay County. Woodlan wasn't done yet they had a drive up the right side of the field and took a shot and was able to score making it 4-3. Jay County would hold them off. Time would expire making the final score 4-3. Jay County will host Norwell next Thursday at Jay County starting at 6PM.
