Junior Varsity vs Delta High School (2 - 1) Win Jay County JV took on Delta High School tonight. They played one quarter of play. Jay County started out with a goal from Kevin Dues making it 1-0. Then Delta was able to capitalize, tying the game 1-1. Jay got a fast break and Xavier Hudson was taken out from behind in the box setting up a PK opportunity. Xavier Hudson was able to hit the PK putting Jay County up 2-1. They would hold on to give the Jay County JV their first win of the season. Varsity vs Delta High School (4 - 3) Win Jay County Varsity Boys soccer hosted Delta High School tonight. Delta came out playing very aggressive and was able to knock in the first goal making it 1-0. But Jay would knock back with Dylan Marentes making a pass to Levi Muhlenkamp to put it in the net making it 1-1 in the 30th minute of the 1st half. It was a very physical game from both Delta and Jay County. In the 19th minute of the 1st half Dylan Marentes would dribble through defenders take a shot and score a goal making it 2-1. The half would come to an end with Jay County up 2-1. The 2nd half Delta was able to come out and tie the game making it 2-2. Then in the middle of the 2nd half Delta had a one on one and was able to sneak the ball into the goal making it 3-2 Delta. Jay County would come back with Levi Muhlenkamp dribbling around defenders and took a shot. The ball deflected off the goalkeepers' hands and Levi was able to get a foot on it to put it in the goal making it 3-3. With just a one minute and 5 seconds left in the game Emmitt Reynolds was able to make a great slide tackle knocking the ball away from Delta's defender and passed it to Levi Muhlenkamp where he was able to dribble down into Delta's goal box and was taken out from behind setting up a foul and penalty kick for Jay County. Levi Muhlenkamp was a little slow to get up but was able to brush it off. Levi would take the penalty kick and scored making it 4-3 Jay County. With the clock expiring Jay County was able to hold on and win 4-3. Next game Jay County will host Woodlan High School this Saturday at 10AM at Jay County.
