7th Grade vs Blackford Jr/Sr High School Loss 8th Grade vs Blackford Jr/Sr High School Loss In a hard-fought match, our team experienced a mix of highs and lows. We lost the first game with a score of 25-20, but rallied to secure a victory in the second game, also with a score of 25-20. Unfortunately, we fell short in the decisive third game, losing 15-8. Kenady Lyons and Kali Wendel contributed significantly on both offense and defense.Lyons led the team with 11 points, 4 aces, 3 assists, and 2 kills. Wendel followed with 8 points, including 1 ace and 2 digs. Kylee Timmerman added 4 points and 2 digs, while Emery Forthofer recorded 2 kills and 1 point. Despite the challenging outcome, each player’s effort and determination were evident, and we look forward to applying what we’ve learned as we prepare for our next home match on Tuesday September 3rd at home against Northside. The 7th graders fell in two sets to the Blackford Bruins. Game one the Patriots fell 16-25 and in game two they fell 8-25. The Patriots were let by Harper Kunkle with 3 service points, 1 kill and 3 digs. Ava Dame served 4 points with three of those being aces. JJ Reynolds had 3 assists, and Brenna Weitzel had two kills. Bella Barnett and Gabi Miller both served one point. The 7tgh graders will be back in action next Tuesday against Northside.
