Varsity vs Connersville High School (2 - 1) Win Jay County Varsity Boys soccer took on Connersville Saturday afternoon. The 1st half was pretty competitive and a battle of up and downs for both sides of the ball. At the end of the 1st half the score was even at 0-0. In the 2nd half Jay County came out and started moving the ball a lot better. In the 29th minute Emmitt Reynolds sent the ball up to Brody Collins who was able to find the goal making it 1-0. A little while later. Connersville was able to score making it 1-1. Then with only 5 minutes left in the game, Jacoby Penrod was able to find Blake Collins who found the back of the net giving Jay Co a 2-1 lead. At the end of the game the final score was 2-1. Jay County is now 9-2-3 on the season and will be on the road this Tuesday at Blackford to end the regular season.
