The Jay County Girls Soccer Team faced Yorktown last night and came out with a thrilling 1-0 win!!! In the first half, both teams could not get the ball to go in the goal. The Patriots had 3 shots on goal and Brenna Ruble, JC Goal Keeper has 2 saves. In the second half, the Patriots dominated the shot chart with 12 shots, but couldn't get the ball to go until the last 2 minutes of the game. At 2 minutes left, Charlee Peters crossed a beautiful ball from the right side (assist), and Avery Snow came up huge for the Patriots and was able to connect and score!!! JC defense recorded their 7th shut-out for the season!!! Ariel Beiswanger, Maria Laux, Gracie Rowles, Tessa Frazee, Kady Allred, Nerea Dominguez, and Goal Keeper, Brenna Rowles have become a powerhouse in the back!! The Jay County Girls Soccer Team move to a 8-5 overall record. Next, they face Heritage (Round 2) on Saturday, September 26th- Varsity @ 3pm, a JV half to follow.
