Jay County traveled to South Adams to take on the Starfires. The 8th grade lost 16-25. Bryce VanSkyock started the scoring off for the Patriots with a 4 yard touchdown run. Carsten Penrod kicked the 2 point conversion. In the second quarter with South Adams in scoring position, Parker Wasson sacked the quarterback causing a fumble. Maddix Bright recovered the fumble for the Patriots. Four plays later with four seconds on the clock before the half, Tuck Hemmelgarn, Easton Johnson, and Bryce VanSkyock executed a 59 yard hook and ladder for a touchdown. In the 3rd, Sawyer Smitley had a sack for a safety. The 7th grade fought hard, but came up short in a two quarter game. The Patriots will host the Bluffton Tigers Thursday. Go Jc!!
