The Jay County Girls Soccer Team faced Delta tonight and lost by the score of 3-5. In the 1st half, Delta came out fast and scored @ 35:50min. The Patriots answered back with a Charlee Peter's goal @ 29:32min. Delta scored 2 more goals to end the half @21:17min & 17:11min. In the 2nd half, Gabby Gibson came out hot and scored @ 39:05min. Delta answered back and scored twice @ 16:20min & 12:01min. The last goal of the game was by the JC Patriots, with London Lloyd scoring @ 11:27min, assisted by Macy DeHoff. Despite the loss, the JC Patriots played a competitive game against a tough Delta team and look forward to hopefully playing them again in Sectionals!! JC took a total of 9 shots on goal. Brenna Ruble, Goal Keeper for JC, recorded 9 saves on goal. The JC Girls Soccer Team move to a 7-5 record. Next, they play against another potential sectional opponent, Yorktown, on Thursday, September 24th @ 5:30pm- Varsity game only.
