⛳️🏌️‍♀️ **LADY PATRIOTS SHINE AT SECTIONALS!** 🏌️‍♀️⛳️ The Lady Patriots’ season as a team came to an end today with an AMAZING showing at Sectionals at Crestview Golf Course! The team fired an outstanding 367 to finish 4th overall!! Last season, the Lady Patriots finished 7th with a score of 417. That is an incredible 50-STROKE IMPROVEMENT in just one year! 💪❤️💙 The Lady Patriots were led by: ⛳ Bailey Towell — 89 ⛳ Alexa Ridenour — 89 ⛳ Grace Huelskamp — 94 ⛳ Erin Aker — 95 ⛳ Boo Towell — 100 One of the toughest moments of the day came when Bailey and Alexa learned they would have to compete against each other in a playoff for the final individual qualifying spot to Regionals. The girls held their heads high and headed back out to Hole 9. The nerves were definitely there, but both girls battled. Alexa finished the playoff hole with a 4, while Bailey finished with a 5, earning Alexa the trip to Regionals. While it was incredibly difficult to watch two teammates and friends have to compete against each other for one spot, we are so proud of the way both girls handled the moment. ❤️ Alexa will now represent the Lady Patriots at Regionals! ⭐ **ALEXA RIDENOUR** Alexa got off to a slow start, shooting a 50 on the back nine, which was her first nine of the day. But when she made the turn, she kicked it into HIGH GEAR! Alexa fired an incredible 39 on the front nine to finish with an 89. Both her 39 for nine holes and 89 for 18 holes are career lows! What a time to play your best golf! ⭐ **BAILEY TOWELL** Bailey had a rough start on her first hole but quickly pulled it together. She was sinking putts, crushing drives, and battling all day long. Her 89 ties her career-low 18-hole score! ⭐ **GRACE HUELSKAMP** Grace fired a career-low 94, achieving one of the goals she set for herself this season! What an accomplishment at Sectionals! ⭐ **ERIN AKER** Erin turned in another consistent round with a 95. And in true Erin fashion — another Sectional round with NO golf balls lost in 18 holes! 😄⛳️ ⭐ **BOO TOWELL** In her first career 18-hole match, Boo shot a career-low 100! She came incredibly close to reaching her goal of breaking 100. What a performance in her first 18-hole tournament! Coach Allred and Jay County could not be more proud of this fine group of young female golfers. These ladies have been putting in the work on the golf course since March, and today it truly showed. To go from 417 and 7th place last year to 367 and 4th place this year says so much about the time, dedication, and hard work these girls have put into this program. The team season may be over, but the Lady Patriots aren’t quite finished yet! ❤️💙⛳️ 🏆 **ALEXA RIDENOUR IS REGIONAL BOUND!** 🏆 Alexa will compete in the Regional Tournament next Saturday at Edgewood Golf Course in Anderson!
