The Jay County Girls Varsity Team faced an ACAC opponent today, Woodlan, and were victorious with the score of 2-0. In the 1st half, the Lady Patriots notched their first goal @ 37:16min left. This goal resulted from an awesome corner kick from Macy DeHoff (assist). Woodlan's goalie hit Macy DeHoff's shot up, and Charlee Peters retrieved it and scored for the Lady Patriots. In the 2nd half, Charlee Peters scored again @ 27:31min about 25 yards out, assisted by London Lloyd. The Lady Patriots defensive players: Ariel Beiswanger, Maria Laux, Gracie Rowles, Tessa Frazee, Nerea Dominguez, and Kady Allred played excellent to keep Woodlan scoreless. Brenna Ruble, Varsity goalie, also played great and recorded 13 saves for the game. The JV team fell to Woodlan by a score of 0-1 in one half of play. Natalia Gaucin and Kyla Sims each had a shot on goal. Payson Rickard, JV goalie, recorded 6 saves for the game. The Varsity Team moved to 2-2 for the season and 2-0 in the ACAC. The JV Team moved to 0-3 for the season. Next, the Lady Patriots play against South Adams @ South Adams on Tuesday, September 1st- Varsity only @ 5pm.
