The Jay County Varsity Team faced their first ACAC conference matchup last night, defeating Heritage by the score of 2-0. The JV matchup resulted in a 0-0 tie. At halftime in the Varsity game, the score was 0-0. The Jay County Patriots found the back of the net by sophomore Charlee Peters @21:04, a beautiful shot from about 25 yards away. Sophomore Gabby Gibson connected next for a goal @ 10:55 by crashing the goal and beating out a Heritage defender, assisted by a cross pass from Charlee Peters. Brenna Ruble had her first career shut-out, recording 6 saves. The Jay County Varsity Girls Soccer Team move to 1-1 for the season and 1-0 in the ACAC conference. Next, they play away against Coldwater High School, Varsity @ 5pm, with a JV half to follow.
