Jay County Varsity Patriots Impressive In Win Against Delta By GameChanger Media Jay County Varsity Patriots won big over Delta 14-3 on Tuesday. Jay County Varsity Patriots got on the board in the top of the fourth inning after Ava Bice singled, scoring two runs, Brenna Ruble singled, scoring one run, and Carley Trinidad drew a walk, scoring one run. Jay County Varsity Patriots scored seven runs on eight hits in the top of the sixth inning. Ava Peterson singled, scoring two runs, Ruble singled, scoring two runs, Morgan Missicano tripled, scoring one run, and Hallie Schwieterman homered to center field, scoring two runs. Addie Smith hit a solo home run to left field in the bottom of the sixth for the Delta. Trinidad earned the win for Jay County Varsity Patriots. The righty allowed four hits and two runs over five innings, striking out six and walking three. Chloe Mynett took the loss for Delta. The starter went three and one-third innings, giving up four runs (two earned) on seven hits, striking out none and walking one. Zoe Mclaughlin appeared in relief for Jay County Varsity Patriots. Jay County Varsity Patriots tallied 17 hits in the game. Chloe Brown and Trinidad were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected three hits for Jay County Varsity Patriots. Missicano went 2-for-5 at the plate and led the team with four runs batted in. Schwieterman, Karsyn Schwieterman, Bice, and Ruble each collected multiple hits for Jay County Varsity Patriots. Bice stole two bases. Jay County Varsity Patriots worked the count all day, amassing five walks. Jay County Varsity Patriots were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Peterson had the most chances in the field with eight. Haley Loser, Destinee Drown, Smith, Chloe Childers, and Jacquelyn Linn each collected one hit for Delta.
