Powerful Pitching Performance From Carley Trinidad Carries Jay County Varsity Patriots Past South Adams Varsity Starfires Carley Trinidad was dominant in the circle, as the starting pitcher rang up 12 strikeouts in Jay County Varsity Patriots's 9-1 victory over South Adams Varsity Starfires on Wednesday. Trinidad allowed one hit and one run over seven innings while walking two. Brenna Ruble collected three hits in four at bats in the win. Ruble doubled in the second inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the fourth inning. South Adams Varsity Starfires got on the board in the first inning after Shelby Weigel singled, scoring one run. Jay County Varsity Patriots captured the lead, 4-1, in the bottom of the second when Zoe Mclaughlin drew a walk, scoring one run, Ruble doubled, scoring two runs, and Morgan Missicano singled, scoring one run.
