Jay County Varsity Patriots Defeats Heritage On Back Of Clutch Display From Hallie Schwieterman Hallie Schwieterman drove in four runs on two hits to lead Jay County Varsity Patriots past Heritage 5-0 on Thursday. Schwieterman hit a home run to right field in the first inning, scoring three runs, and singled in the third inning, scoring one. Carley Trinidad threw a no-hitter. The starter struck out 20 batters. Jay County Varsity Patriots were the first to get on the board in the first when Schwieterman homered to right field, scoring three runs. A single by Schwieterman extended the Jay County Varsity Patriots lead to 4-0 in the top of the third inning. Bacon took the loss for Heritage. The starting pitcher went seven innings, giving up five runs (three earned) on six hits, striking out three and walking one. Leadoff hitter Brenna Ruble led Jay County Varsity Patriots with three hits in four at bats. Jay County Varsity Patriots were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error.
