Jay County golf was at the Winchester Golf Club on Saturday. This was a 16 team invitational that included several teams that are ranked in the Top 20 in the state. Jay County tied for 10th after shooting a 355. The Patriot golfers were led by Dawson Goldsworthy who carded an 86. Dom Bright and Cody Dehoff were right on his tail shooting an 87 and 88. Beckett Brandenburg played the four spot and shot a 94. Jacob Weitzel was the 5th golfer for the Patriots. This was Jacob’s first time playing in a high school invitational and finished with a 102. Overall, the Patriots had a good day and showed some improvement throughout the event. The Patriots will practice Monday and then will be right back into action as they host Heritage on Tuesday at the Portland Golf Club.
