The Jc Track & Field team traveled to New Castle on Friday to compete in the New Castle Invitational. The girls came away with a win and the boys finished 2nd to Anderson by 9 points. The following were the top placers in each event. The 3200 meter team of Saki Onishi, Ava May, Jessie Homan, and Brooklynn finished 1st. Rocky Beiswanger, Jaxson DeHoff, Caleb Garringer, and Grant Glentzer finished 2nd. In the 100 meter hurdles, Mya Kunkler finished 2nd and Maria Hemmelgarn finished 3rd. In the 110 hurdles, Colton Glassford finished 2nd and Kaiden Reynolds finished 5th. In the 100 meter dash, Ariel Beiswanger finished 4th In the 1600 meter run, Ava May finished 1st, Jessie Homan finished 2nd, and Gabby Gibson finished 3rd. Caleb Garringer finished 1st. The 400 meter relay team of Peyton Carpenter, Saki Onishi, Ariel Beiswanger, and Maria Hemmelgarn finished 1st. Walter Campofiore, Sytree Jordan, Peyton Yowell, and Garrett Hidy finished 3rd. In the 400 meter dash, Brooklynn Byrum finished 3rd and Alexis Sibray finished 4th. In the 300 meter hurdles, Mya Kunkler finished 3rd and Maria Hemmelgarn finished 5th. Bryden Carter finished 3rd. In the Long Jump, Peyton Carpenter finished 2nd. Walter Campofiore finished 4th. In the Pole Vault, Mya Kunkler finished 2nd and Maria Hemmelgarn finished 3rd. In the Discus, Gabby Gibson finished 3rd. Brasen Glassford finished 2nd. It was a great night. The Patriots will travel to Southern Wells on Tuesday to face the Raiders and the Woodlan Warriors.
