It was a stormy evening at Ansonia High School. The meet was delayed once after the girls ran the shuttle hurdles relay. We waited in the bus and resumed after 30 minutes. A while later, the lightning once again returned. At that point the meet was canceled. We did get to compete in some events. The following are our top placers for the eventing. The Shuttle Hurdle relay teams of Kali Newell, Ashlynn Brunswick, Mya Kunkler, and Maria Hemmelgarn finished 3rd, and Colton Glassford, Elias Meuller, Peyton Yowell, and Kaiden Reynolds finished 3rd as well. The 3200 meter relay teams of Saki Onishi, Ava May, Alexis Sibray, and Brooklynn Byrum finished 3rd, and Rocky Beiswanger, Max Klopfenstein, Jaxson DeHoff, and Caleb Garringer finished 4th. The Girls Sprint Medley relay team of Ariel Beiswanger, Brielle McConnell, Ashlynn Brunswick, and Kali Newell finished 7th. In the boys long jump, Walter Campfiore and Sytree Jordan finished 5th with a total distance of 38'2". In the boys shot put, Brasen Glassford and Spencer Smitley finished 4th with a total distance of 81'1.5". In the girls high jump, Mya Kunkler and Lexi Litmer finished 2nd with a total height of 9'6". In the girls Discus, Gabby Gibson, and Lenzie Tobe finished 5th with a total distance of 157'. In the girls Pole Vault, Mya Kunkler and Maria Hemmelgarn finished 4th with a total height of 17'. The Patriots will travel to Heritage on Tuesday. Go Jc!
