The Patriots boys golf hosted Northeastern High School at the Portland Golf Course on Thursday night. The match ended in a tie with both teams shooting a 166. Northeastern was led by match medalist Landon Helms as he shot a 35 for par. Jay County had their best night this season as Dawson Goldsworthy shot a 40, Cody Dehoff shot 41, Beckett Brandenburg 42, and Bryan Fields a 43. I believe both Beckett and Bryan shot their varsity career best. In all, Jay County had 14 boys in action. Dom Bright shot a 47, Karson Hines a 49, Sylas Wenk a 44, and Jacob Weitzel a 47. Josh Brown, Kayden Hutzler, Jacob Robinson, Kason Sims, Cooper Shimp, and Ethan Spencer all played really well.
