Jay County Boys Varsity golf team beat Richmond by a score of 174-178 on Monday at the Richmond Elks. The Patriots were led by senior Cody Dehoff. Dehoff shot a career best 34 strokes leaving him 1 under on the par 35 course. Fellow senior Dom Bright shot another good round with a 42. Dawson Goldsworthy shot a 45 and freshman Karson Hines rounded out the 174 with a 53. Sylas Wenk shot a 55 but his score didn't impact the 174 total. The Patriots also had 4 other golfers in action Beckett Brandenburg shot a 47, Bryan Fields shot a 54, Jacob Weitzel Shot a 46, and rounding out the Patriots was Kayden Hutzler with a 57. The Patriots will make their home season debut this Thursday vs Wapahani at the Portland Golf Club.
