The Jay County Junior High wrestling team concluded its season this past Thursday with a 4th place finish at the ACAC conference tournament. Jay County had 2 conference champions, Sawyer Smitley at 157 lbs and Alex Huntsman, Jr. at 215 lbs. Bryce VanSkyock was runner-up at 113 lbs. Talan Wilson (75), Mateo Real (95), Yair Ortiz (144) and Royce Kaigler (HWT) each finished in 3rd place. Daniel Benitez (138), Aliyah Gilbert (150) and Damien Gurrola (165) each took 4th place. Vinny New (100), Wyatt Davis (120) and Porter Hatzell (126) each took 5th place. Kooper McKibben (106), Kaleb Timmerman (132) and Tamaria Young (190) finished in 6th place. Great night of wrestling and bright futures ahead for Jay County Wrestling!
