JC Swim/Dive splits with Bluffton

Jay County competed against Bluffton on December 3, 2025, with the Patriot girls earning a strong team victory 173–133. The Jay County girls were dominant throughout the night, winning all three relays and picking up multiple individual event wins. Elly Byrum and Brooklynn Byrum led the team with a series of top finishes, including a 1–2 sweep in the 100 Butterfly. Freshman Maria Laux added wins in both the 100 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke, while senior Lauren Fisher captured the 100 Breaststroke and contributed key relay legs. The boys team swam hard but fell to Bluffton 190–109. Jay County’s highlights included wins from Grady Warvel in the 200 IM and 100 Butterfly, a strong performance from Cooper Glentzer in the 200 Free and 100 Back, and a victory from sophomore Carson Westgerdes in the 100 Breaststroke. Diver Bryden Carter also secured first place on the boards with a score of 174.30. Overall, Jay County showed depth, improvement, and competitive energy across all events, with several strong swims and relay efforts on both the girls and boys sides.
