A slow third quarter was the downfall for the Patriot freshmen. The boys from Jay County got off to a solid start in the first quarter. Justin DeHoff hit a buzzer beating shot at the end of the first quarter to give the Patriots an 8-7 edge. A stingy Anderson defense kept Jay off track through the second and third quarters and Anderson held a eight point advantage going into the final period. The Jay County players weren’t about to give up and mounted a comeback sparked by a Jackson Edwards 3 pointer early in fourth quarter. The Patriots were able to cut the lead to 2 with just over 30 seconds to play. Unfortunately, Anderson was able to convert on free throw attempts in the final seconds to hand Jay their second loss of the season with a final score of 26-31.
